A link is a link, however consider this. Does the site being linked know
it??? Do you consider the linked information as being in a static
location??? How dependant is your site to this link ( the URL can change at
any time)??

Is this back door either unethical or illegal?
An example is product information or shopping. The owner of the company (
not the shopping site) needs to know how his product is being represented.

Will you be framing in the site to keep the client on it? If so, does your
frame in any way harm the security of the linked site i.e., break an SSL
certificate or backdoor what the site owner thought was password protected
content.
