I did a website for a company that sells "cut-your-own" Christmas trees in December and landscape trees, among other things, during the rest of the year. The key, as with any site, was getting well-entrenched in the search engines, and being linked from the right places.

The first Christmas after we built the site would ordinarily have been slow due to a lack of snow that year, but they sold out their stock, and found a lot of people coming up from Toronto after finding them online. They also got a 2 minute spot on CTV news because they had a lot of information about the trees on their site, helping people decide what tree to get for Christmas. The site has been up for almost two years now, and they are still happy, and getting regular inquiries about landscaping trees from all over North America.

Cheers
