Hi Nancy,

Site reviewed: http://www.brewerdesign.com
Viewed with a P133, 48kbps, 640 x 480 @ 24 bit color, MSIE 4.0

As I read the index page, my first impression is that I would like to see an
image of the unique products you speak of as I cannot form a picture in my
mind because I've never seen them before.

Speaking of images, you already mentioned them being heavy so I won't
address that, but you could easily incorporate a few product images without
compromising the download time *if* you optimize them properly. I would
encourage you to do so.

I'm not sure the street address is necessary at the very top. I dunno, just
my opinion. I'm used to seeing that info at the very bottom. But definitely
do include it on every page.

Does the company have a logo? If so, why not display it at the top?

The very bottom section of the index page has got to go, IMO. It is totally
inappropriate for a commercial site. Maybe for your *own* website authoring
services, but not for a client's. Please keep in mind the purpose of the
website; stay focused on what you are selling: Brewer Design Service not
Redsunflower Designs.

Personally, I don't favor table borders. They look first generation to me. I
would use background table cell colors instead as you did on the rest of the
website.

On to the aboutus.html page. Why use the product as a background? Showcase
it! Show it in all its glory. Let's see a nice 300 x 300 pixel image of it.
I take it the double set of text links are an oversight?

ourproducts.html Okay, now we begin to see the products. You may want to
mention somehow that this is just a menu leading on to more information. It
didn't appear to be at first glance. Perhaps a text link with the words
"more details" or something like that. Yes, I know the images are linked,
but again, at first glance I got the impression that this was all the info
you had on these products.

Great! On the deepdiggers.html page I see you used testimonials. Excellent!
They are a great sales tool. Good images.

The concrete.html page was well done.

About the only other thing I would add is a forms based contact page. People
do use those, they get wonderful results for the client. Even if a client
objects saying they don't want to bother checking the email everyday, there
are email-to-fax services available that will fax him the contents of the
forms based page for a nominal fee.

That's all for now. You have a clean look. A little more consistency and
planning and it will really shine.

Best,
Demitrius >I<
