Hi,
Bah. I totally disagree. The site is one of the best to have been posted
to this list in about 5 years. It is of very high quality and the
designer has a great eye. Flash should be used as the company and it's
clients see fit. The major browsers include the latest flash in their
installs and Flash is highly recognized by Internet users.
Too many designers (aka web developers) have a narrow field of vision
when it comes to the Internet and Web Sites. I hear from designers
everyday how this new fancy thing sucks and that old fancy thing
sucks... but the exact opposite from the average Web Surfer.
Companies on the Web are trying to stand out in the crowd... and HTML &
Plain Text Web Sites are boring. Flash is not bad, it just depends on
your audience and how you use it.
I would give the user an HTML option on a "Splash Screen", but I
wouldn't pull the plug on the Flash version.
Good job
Mike
