Hello everybody - and especially Nancy, Susan, Nick and Brian!

I know these thanks arrive very late... I hope you will forgive me! There
has been so much trouble the last 10 days concerning my provider, the web
site itself, and private matters. There was no chance to write sooner! Now
it seems that the site is fully accessible again - I hope this will last :-)

This weekend I used some spare time to work over the site again so if you're
still interested to critique it, Susan and Nick, I would appreciate to hear
from you. Sorry for all your former inconvenience!

By now, I uploaded the new version into a different TEST directory keeping
its full functionality: http://www.schoening-online.de/test/

The original URL is http://www.schoening-online.de/ .

Brian - many thanks for your note about the 'pixel problem' in NS 5. The
actual version of the site, however, has a changed table layout... maybe
more consistent, and without the problem. I would like to repeat your
observation but couldn't find a site to download NS 5 - it's not 'official'
yet, or am I wrong? Where did you get it from? I'd like to complete my
'browser suite' ;-))

Nancy: When I decided, then, to use different colors for links I used a
different color for internal, external and mailto links... I intended to
make more evidence to the user. But in fact - you're right- I confused
her/him (the different followed links were a logical mistake in CSS). Now I
turned back to 'classical' colors for all links - much better :-)
As for the many links in the texts: I dashed them nearly all leaving alone
only the most important external links and a few internal links one level
down the hierarchy... have no idea yet how to integrate them into the links
'menu' ! At last, I got rid of most of the bold text, either, and I believe
it's much more readable now - more 'calm'.
Btw: what do you think about an additional 'page circle' with links like
'BACK <- | -> NEXT' in the lower right corner?

Many thanks again, Nancy and all others, for your time and your (perhaps
even future?) critiques :-)

Of course, all other list members are invited again to critique this web
site - as I said before: EVERY critique is welcome!

Sincerely

Gerhard Schning
