Community Theater Critique Reqest

Hello all,

I'm working on a template for a community theater website and would like
some feedback.  Only the main page of the site is functional at the moment
(i.e. none of the links will take you anywhere).  It is temporarily being
stored at:
    http://www.thepoetsgroup.com/stageleft2/
before it moves to its own DNS.

Let me know what you think of the colors, the layout, navigational setup,
etc.  It uses one small Java applet to achieve a desired effect.  Other than
that, it is simple HTML with CSS.

Please include your system and browser settings for reference.
