Hallo Peter,

I saw your page and I love first of all the simplicity.
The colourcombination violet and black is not what I wll choose.
You can make your site a little bit more funny by choosing images for the
links at the left side. I personnally hate that rows of links. They make
sites looking all the same for me, just like a site of a searchengineer

I have the talent to write poems so I wrote a poem with all the links I
needed very quickly. (see http://www.hoehnermusikfan.net/bude.html ) It is
perhaps a idea to look in a book and write stupid sentences with the links,
concerning the subject of the link.or with little images used in the
sentences. So you can make your site very apart rfrom other sites without
difficult techniques.
I got mails from fans they read the fansite daily for more as an hour.

What I will advise you is to take away all the fonttags from your code.
Screenreaders have problems with them and they are also obsoleted and
deprecated. Use so much as possible stylesheets and try to learn ,like me,
as soon as possible xhtml, css and xml. Because the next generation of
internet (the semantic web) is based on these languages. You can already
read about that in the W3C site www.3c.org/2001/sw I get the mailinglist
about that issue. I don't understand it all, but try to get used a little
bit on that language RDF .
>From some-one who is working on that project I got the advice to learn
languages in this order:
XHTML (only the strict dtd, the transitional will be obsoleted soon. That is
right because since the 31the of May there is a W3C recommandation XHTML1.1
(Is XHTML 1.0 strict with little changes and for the other DTDs there are
modules.)
CSS
XML
RDF (necessary for the semantic web and based on XML)
SQL
and then after that JAVA/JAVA Servlets/JSP/DBC

That is the reason why I don't use Java in the fansite
www.hoehnermusikfan.net I cannot program that and when you visit the site
you see to build a site it is not necessary. For audio/video I will learn
after studyingXHTML/CSS SMIL a new medialanguage already used by real
player 8. With that language you can make slideshows very easily. So I can
read in the studybook "Beginning XHTML" I have.

I hope you will see the site http://www.hoehnermusikfan.net and give me your
opinion

Cheers
Ineke van der Maat
