The site was done really well, but unfortunately it takes way to long to
load even with DSL. I am not sure if the web author lives in the same town
as on the contact page but if so, should be familiar with how DSL works out
here. (I live 15 minutes from the contact address)
It took 3 minutes for the page to start showing any kind of text, and if I
was looking for information, I would not have stayed on that page for very
long. Also, as someone else mentioned, I too experienced a "digital drop
out" effect on the red banner on the Philosophy page. If you are an editing
house or are familiar with QC terminology in the Post-Production world (it's
been 5 years since I worked in Post), it looks like there are "digital
drop-outs" in the red banner all the way across the screen.
I don't know if there is a way to stream line that site but it would make a
great "Business Expo" repeating demo I found it quite encapsulating, just
like if I were watching TV.
I think a non-flash version is a must if you are going to keep this size
flash (500+kb) as your flash site.
P.S. Nice sound file as well.
My Specs:
Win 95b
64mb SDRAM
2 HD's 4gb and 8gb IDE
Netscape 4.74 with shockwave8/flash5 combo.
Pentium 133mhz (non-MMX)
Diamond Speedstar 64 graphics card
Samtron (Old 15" monitor) 800x600 High Color 16-bit
DSL Modem through Pacific Bell
estimated line speed (K bits per second): 741.8
estimated line speed (K bytes per second): 90.9
