Hi Rene',
I suggest a on/off button for the sound.
I have no problem with sound on a website as long as you can "turn it off".
The background image which appears to be a gradient looks rather choppy. Too
much compression?

Considering this is a site dealing with art and design, all text on the
opening page is a bit uninspiring. Suggest adding a image.
The links at the top, while functional, are not visually appealing.
On you links to the validators etc. you use this code:
<a href="http://validator.w3.org/check/referer"><img
        src="http://www.w3.org/Icons/valid-html401"
        alt="Valid HTML 4.01!" height="31" width="88">.</a>
Placing a period within the Href tag displays aa underlined dot after each
graphic. Was this your intention? Suggest losing the period all together.
The image map of the US is nice - good job.

Hope this Helps,
Jayne
