You have to ~fill~ the alt tag with the image description, like this:

<img src="rivervalleyview.jpg" height="100" width="175" alt="View of River
Valley">

I noticed you had quite a few empty alt tags ("").

Thanks for the input. What do you mean by image descriptions? I thought alt
tags were all that you needed.
