Marci, Killian was a bit hard on you but he did have some constructive
things to say (too bad he was so blunt that you may have missed them).

I saw the first site and I think you've made some improvements, but there
are still many more needed. If you want the pink background then you need
to find another complimentary color for contrast. I'd try a dark pink or
rose. (Please note that it's going to be hard to work with pink and make it
attractive, but it can be done.) I'm not sure I'd choose pink as the
background, but I have to admit that it's a pretty color of pink - the
lavender is what makes it still scream.

Killian is right that you need some professional writing and that your big
text is not an enhancement to the site. You can do some nice things with
text in a graphics program just by applying a few effects.

Killian is also correct in telling you that there are just too many
professional web designers out there for too many people to take your
current site seriously. But, don't let this get you down. Do exactly as
suggested and surf the web to see sites you admire. Notice their use of
fonts, colors, placement and overall theme designing (not talking about
using MS Themes but rather giving the site an overall theme in your design
of it for continuity.) A very small example of this would be what I did
with my site. My logo is done in circles, the background has circles in it
and the buttons have circles.

I looked at your graphic design page and while some of your graphics are
pretty, you need to note the little glitches with the white showing, etc.
Also note that these graphics are really kind of "homey" meaning something
you'd see on a personal page, not something too many companies would be
looking for. Have you decided who your target audience is? It looks like
at best that lawn services, flowershops and people wanting personal pages
(which they usually develop themselves) are the only ones that might see
something of interest.

I know that some of the people on this list are very biased against
FrontPage being a professional design tool. I disagree. You will find a
wonderful FrontPage support list, tips, tutorials and lots of other helpful
information at http://www.venusdesigns.net/frontpage/index.html For some
reason this site has been down for the last 24 hours, but save the URL until
we find out what's wrong and get to the site owner (who is currently
moving). It will be well worth your while. In the mean time, you can go to
onelist.com and join the FPlist(at)onelist.com The people are a lot more
friendly than Killian with their suggestions.

To Killian: your site is worthy of being proud of, but I have to say, I
couldn't figure out the navigation. I mean that I clicked on portfolio
because I was interested in looking at your work and I read you spiel, but I
couldn't figure out how to see any sites you've designed.
