Some addition to Ann's posting:

I think that John's url only works at all because it's no real domain name -
it's just a subdirectory on xoom.com's server - and because windows systems
(maybe other OSs, too, I don't know) will "translate" (or rather replace)
the space into (with) a hexadecimal entity "%20" : this is just "decimal
32", which in turn is the ascii code for the smallest "printable" character
[-space-] so the browser can handle it.

I agree with Ann that some photos are too dark for the black background (or
vice versa). One photo reads "End of the Road (No. 174)" but the ALT text
shows "End of the Year". Same with "Outback (No. 363)" ["> Outbreak"] and
"Wreck (No. 141)" ["> Wreak"].
Also, there should be ALT texts for ALL images: a blind user, or somebody
browsing with graphics disabled, won't see your page headlines - for
example, your name :-) . The page 'gallery.htm' has no headline at all.

Overall, I like your page :-)

System:
IE 5.0 / WIN 98
1280x1024
ISDN (64k)
