I sympathize with you. I once had a client with a long print background make
such a demand but luckily I was able to convince them that such a practice
was outmoded and unrealistic for the web.

HI,
I found that the best way to deal with a client who is not understanding the
differences between print & electronic media is to show them. I had a
client who wrote a book & wanted it on the web, exactly as it was in the
treeware version...graphics & all. Since he had the site in his temp files,
he wasn't realizing how long it took to download the page. Once I realized
that...I had him empty his caches: all temp & history folders & voil he was
appalled at the download time. It was REAL easy after that for him to
"trust" me on those types of decisions. After all, the material was HIS
content, my job was to make it so people on the net would be able to see/use
it.

my 2 pesos worth,
much alohas from Oahu ...
