Both sites loaded reasonably fast.
STC Site:
1. Background image needs to be wider. Looks like it is designed for
800x600. The grey globe duplicated itself at any resolution above
800x600. Depends on the background pattern, dups does not always mean
bad, but in this case, the globe is not complete (chopped-off).
2. Text navigation and fine prints needed to be wrapped in a <table>
tag. They shifted to the right side when viewed with 1024x768 and up.
3. Placement of LinkExchange banners are a little too dominant. I kept
thinking the LinkExchange banner was your logo.
4. Nested <HTML> tags? First I thought you were attempting to change
the background color within the same page, but that's not the case. If
you don't know what I'm talking about, check the code at the beginning
of text navigation in the main page and at least one of the sub-pages.
5. The background image is a little course. Maybe it was scanned from a
poor original. If that's the case, you can fix it by sizing it down.
Or, this is when a drawing tablet comes in handy, trace it in and
re-color it. Let me know if you want some help with that.
6. There is a small blue dash to the right side of the donation.gif
icon. You need to put a </a> tag right after the <img> tag to eliminate
that annoying little dash line.
7. The text navigation font can be a tad smaller so they don't look like
part of the contents.
8. Underscore is used on several non-linked texts throughtout the site.
Underscore usually means links (click me!). I kept trying to click on
the sub-page titles. I'd suggest un-underscore them.
GIO Site:
I really like the menu tree applet. The only drawback is that it takes
a long time to load. Sometimes it wouldn't load at all (black applet
window of death). You might want to include text navigation so viewers
can still get around when the applet decided to take its sweet time. Is
it a public domain applet? If it is, do you mind telling me where to
find it?
Sorry, I ran out of time. Need to go get dinner. Hope this helps.

I have recently completely redesigned two of our organization's four
websites. I was wondering if you would please critique one or both of
these "new" websites.
