OK, now this website looks good. I like the monochrome reddish tones.
The one photo dominates the main page and really stands out. I like
the black lines in the design too--good visual effect and helps
delineate sections well. And the rotating quotes are good, too.
I am having some trouble with the Contents section--left hand column.
I think I would add space before each section header. It's all just
jammed in together. The different font for the headers helps some,
but some white space would be even better.
I assume you know the photo gallery is currently empty, and that
there is no search function (only the site map).
You should put width and height attribs in your <img> tags. I see
page elements jumping as the images load.
Overall you've got a terrific site.
