site redesign

Hello-
I need comments to help me with an upcoming redesign. My site is 
located at http://www.angelfire.com/ia/woden/ It is the site for the 
small town (250 people) I grew up in. Keep these things in mind 
please as you look for things to comment on-

#1 From what I have gathered through my counter and direct feedback, 
the majority of users are on slower machines (28.8k) at their homes 
or at the town and school libraries.  I am not sure about the 
proportion of browsers people use. Most have resolutions of 640x480.

#2This was the first non-personal site I did in late 1997. I have 
been making updates to it but its mainly in original form. This is in 
no way representational of my technical knowledge as it is now, so 
don't feel limited when making comments to me. (sorry, I have had 
this happen before)

#3 I realize that some of the coding is bad, so please no comments on 
specifics in code. It's part of the reason why I am redesigning.

I have taken some direction from the centennial committee when they 
have had suggestions, but most is all my doing as far as content, 
copy and ideas. Overall I am looking for usability and aesthetics 
rather than coding errors. Thanks to anybody who takes the time to 
look at the site.
