What you say rings very true. I've found that the critiques list is
one of the better lists in the HWG BECAUSE of the harshness.

Although you say you feel the critiques on the list are harsh, the
list has gotten MUCH better. Search for posts by a former member
Killian Jenkins to see how they used to be...on a daily basis!

If someone has a serious problem with something on my site, be it
layout, color, graphics, font choice, etc, I want to know about it
before my client says something. Takes care of a lot of headaches
down the road. If my javascript doesn't work, tell me. If the
colors don't fit the theme, let me know. Etc.

To be on this list and to ask for a critique, you need to have a
thick skin. If you don't want honest criticism and/or can't handle
the idea that someone may not like your design and will tell you, you
don't belong on here or on any other critique list.

Unfortunately, my time runs short. :)
