Opinions on use of clipart graphics

Just about all the reviews I recieved a few months ago had one thing in
common.....I needed more visual appeal, ie. graphics.  The unfortunate part is
that I am in no way artistic when it comes to graphics.  So, I searched the
web, and would like the opinions of my fellow list members.  The URL is

, and only a few pages have been "tampered with" by placing these clipart
images on them, specifically, the index page, the searching page, and the
design tips page.  I am not sure if I like the results, but wondered if I
could get some insights before I go ahead and modify the remaining pages.
(Such as how badly is this affecting both load time and overall appearence?)

One last note, just as with any personal site, this one is still undergoing
modifications, so bear with me on the content.  :)
