Hi guys,

It has been a long time ago that we've been here, but we are still around
and trashed the e-mails of the frustrated bunch. <g> We love this html
Guild but unfortunately we decided to leave many months ago due to the
simple fact that some people have been uncomprehensable rude in the way
they mailed us in response to our questions (html related). Nevertheless,
we made great friends out here and understanded that many of you had the
same experience. (html can't be validated all the time in this deadline
world, especially with the smart browsers around).

For all those cool onliners out there we have a little question:

Internet Press is running a test on live news feeds in addition to the
front page news. In first instance we lost about 30% traffic but gained
aprox. 40% after -and growing-.

The question: The USA news directory URL is opening a not controlable all
the time updated Live ram news audio of 4 minutes by a Real Audio deal. We
offer people an alternative by clicking on a "no audio" page that is used
for aprox 5%. We wonder if the automated hidden radio live hourly news feed
in Real Audio is still a bad thing to do. We wonder also if North American
web users appreciate the automation or if we are still too fast running in
the evolution of news providing and should not run radio live when a page
is opened and that it would be better to offer it as an alternative click.
Stats show that our test are ok, but we are wondering majorly about how
anoying it might be for the users we lost, or otherwise how positive users
may find the service.

The test is running at

Music deals are running at
http://www.club.innet.be/~year0230/bitcaste.htm

an interview test with real audio live is running at

http://www.club.innet.be/~year0230/imbrugli.htm (Natalie Imbruglia).

To be honnest: the reason why I mailed this post is that I'm in a mess the
last midnights trying to figure out the fluctuations in the stats.

Thanks for having a look and responding.

(Sorry, once again, for the quality of the English, we're Flemish <g>

have a great weekend

Ian
