site critique

List Members,
I've been following several lists for the last month or so and it's been an
eye-opener.  Following a lot of advice given to others, I've redesigned a
project site I have and am asking for a critique of the basic design.  

These are the general areas of the site.  At present the only page that
validates is the index, the rest will follow.  There's also a "poor"
quality gif there, the manufacture is sending me another to replace it.
Other than those two glaring deficiencies (?),..let 'er rip.
