INFO: REDIRECT Re: doctype in head?! [Re: A Gothic Sight, please critique]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

My name is Chuck McGee, Jr. and I am the Area Guide Manager for the
Critique List.  The thread with the subject referenced above is off-topic
for the Critique List.  Even though the topic was generated from a
critique, it should not be openly discussed on this list as the Charter
specifically states that we are to give and receive critiques ... that is all.

There have been times when short conversations develop to clarify a
viewpoint, those have been tolerated only to emphasize the critique ... but
once the topic burns itself into another discussion all on it's own ... it
should be taken to a more appropriate list or moved to private discussion.

As a point of clarification ... the question has been answered sufficiently
through the discussions that have already hit the list. Please refrain from
discussing this topic.

Furthermore, the topic has attempted to be diverted in yet another
direction altogether ... I believe the mention to HEIGHT and WIDTH.  Please
do not discuss this topic on the Critique List ... we have other lists with
tons of other members that are willing and able to assist anyone if there
is a need for explanation of the coding of HTML.

You have the opportunity to subscribe to the Basics List or the Techniques
list to discuss these issues.

Again, just to clarify ... discussions held on the critique list are
limited to the giving and receiving of critique of the fellow members'
website ... any subsequent posts needed to clarify one's point of view are
acceptable, but once the topic is driven by it's own ... the discussion
should be initiated on the appropriate list.
