Just another example of the variety of sites we get here in HWG-critique
=). Here I go:

NN 4.05, 800x600 true color, 56k modem, PC.
http://209.185.180.230/~HarmCo/

1- Try and get another host... The Tripod pop-ups are annoying... and
commercial pages should have their own domain, or something other than a
free website hosting service?

2- The java mouseover thing is cute but distracting... when I first saw
that I thought it may be a personal page...then realized it was industrial
or commercial or something.

3- The layout is nice. Only... each gif in the java square takes a good
while to load, even at 56K.. and remember many people have only 28.8... You
wait, and wait, but then there's only a bit of text there... not enough to
justify the wait.

4- What's that about the "Interfaces?" I just saw a branch of links, and
don't really know what they are supposed to be about. You're simply asking
too much of me, "Jane Doe the average internet user with less expertise
than most", by requiring of me to assume or know anything about what you're
trying to present. Here's where audience comes in. One thing I've learned
is that you gotta assume that your potential client barely knows how to
turn the computer on... unless you're geared toward the computer business
(i.e. for other professionals). That means... you gotta explain, explain,
and then explain some more. I didn't even bother clicking on the
branches... required too much thinking. Really.

5- Overall, the site content is weak... there just isn't enough there. What
is being said could have been all put in three or four regular pages.. In
fact, I'm not really sure what it is you are offering. The different gifs
are too big and take just too long to load, leaving me basically
disappointed. Furthermore, the site does not present its information in an
effective manner. It's not that easy to navigate, unless you're an avid web
surfer. Is there any way the gifs you have as slides could be transformed
into plain text to ease its loading time, for example?

To recap: I think you may want to strike a compromise between the
aesthetics of the site and the content... it looks *really* good, but it's
not practical at all. I wonder what I would see if I, like many people do,
turned java off...
