Church web site - please review

Please take a look at:

I'm specifically interested in the following points:

1. Accessibility issues (there is a Longdesc on the
   logo, but it doesn't go anywhere yet)
2. Rendering in a variety of browsers, platforms
3. Appeal of the color scheme
3. Does it look more "professionally designed" than the
   original at http://198.173.164.34/
4. Is Verdana the best default font in this case?
