Advice needed on site

I would like some advice about a site I have. It is about Nickelodeon the
kid's network. The design I have on there now is not quite as popular as
the last one. It is probably because the current design is a little cleaner
than the last one. The kids seem to like gaudy<g>. I am trying to add some
color and things without having large graphics and so forth. I would like
to solict opinions on the following:
