Critique Request: Free Stuff / Personal site

I have a personal web site that I'd like critiqued.

I'd especially like comment on the Free Stuff area, which is the only part
I ever expect people to visit my site for.

Although it's a personal site I'll be using it as part of my portfolio for
my masters degree and job hunting, and just in principle would like it to
look really professional.
