Hi there,
>http://horizon.hit.net/~sculptor/index.html
It's very neat and clean -- but where are the sculptures?
NN 4.5, Win95, connected at 45.3 this morning.
I like the borders that are appearing around the thumbnails once I went to
the gallery. But, you may want to remove some of the borders from other
image links. The mailbox on the front page is also slightly awkward. Since
this is a site for a sculptor, perhaps you could use bits of his work to
better illustrate the site?
Just off the top of my head, I would try to remove the background from the
*Looking Beyond* sculpture thumbnail and move it to the top of the index
page navigation menu, for example.
As long as I'm on the thumbnail page -- those thumbnails of most of the
Buffalo pictures are far too dark and small on my 15-inch monitor set to
800x600. Also, why are they all separate? Perhaps you could put the *in
progress* type works (which are interesting) all together?
for example,
table cell with a rowspan of four and then *Buffalo: a 7 ton journey*
with the cells beneath it arranged to tell the *story*?
I know you said you're working on spelling, grammar, etc., but is it Davie?
David? Davis? -- That should be a priority since it is spelled differently
on the pages /and/ page titles.
On the main index page, I'm also not sure why the page logo has a
sunflower? Again, see if there's anything in his work that you could use as
illustrations. Since he is a sculptor, I would also like to see you
emphasize the *sculpture* by doing things with his name --
http://www.cooltext.com/ (which may be down at the moment), comes to mind
right away.
HTH,
~Tamara
