First off, in case ya'll don't finish this letter all the way through, I must
ask why everyone feels the need to rag on so and so over the list? I mean if
you want to bitch someone out send it to them! Not the whole darn list. I
don't care about so-and-so's religion or so-and-so's sexuality. All I care
about, concerning this list, are websites and critiques, and the furthering of
my site. So if you want to hash ME (not my site mind you) out for any reason
send it to ME! RAdmSergei(at)aol.com, CdrSergei(at)aol.com, RAdmSergei(at)netscape.net,
take your choice, just leave the list out of it, I'm tired of having fifty
emails in my box everytime I check my email.
Okay, second of all I must say that this is still just funny as hell. I've
been away for a few days and have like 100+ emails to go through and ya'lls
just make me laugh. Here's some more of *my* thoughts on the subject...
I am not teenage entrepreneur, Starbase 001 (www.starbase001.com) is just a
personal site really. Its for a non-profit role-playing game. Nonetheless, I
realize that you can't roll with the big boys if your a baby (or whatever that
saying is).
Even so, I love designing sites, and have even been known to design some on
the side for a little pocket money. But I agree, if you want a critique for
your site, you have to be prepared for some negative critiques.
Everyone has their own opinion, and while my opinion may differ than "Joe-
Bobs" (fictional character), it gives ME no right to rag on "Joe-Bob". Killian
may hate Starrwolf's site, but thats his opinion. I don't see anything that
gives us the right to send out hundreds (thats literally about right) of
emails concerning his choice of words about the Starrwolf's site.
I've always been told that you should learn from your mistakes. And thats,
basically, what this list is all about. To provide a medium where webmasters
from any place on the globe can submit their sites for criticism. Criticism,
in most forms, is negative. No one, nor website, is perfect. So if you can't
take negative criticism, leave the list. The list ain't for cry babies.
