It's a Great Dane site and therefore has a lot of photos on it, let me
 have it! >>

I'm only about 6 to 8 months new into HTML. So, while I don't consider myself
a professional, I do feel that my code skills have advanced tremendously.
Reguardless of how many times I read here and there that this or that should
not be done, I have still done it, because I fail to create with the mentality
of the person that would be VIEWING the pages rather than my own. Since I am
critiquing as a viewer, I have no comments on the code... just the visuals and
content.

So, I will critique your site as a viewer, rather than a writer.

Your site seems really nice and professionally put together. The graphics seem
pretty nice, and to some degree it pulled me in, even though I don;t have much
of a general interest in Great Danes.

The one thing that I don't agree with too much is the first initial page where
you muct click to actually enter the site. It's nice for the first time
visitor, but for someone that keeps coming back and back, this becomes
annoying to have to get to this page before going to the next. Of course,
visitors could always bookmark the next page and bypass this, but some
visitors might not be too computer literate.

The content seemed interesting. The only other thing that I don't agree with
is with the way you have used the title/headings of your sections. What I mean
is: on that initial page you have ENTER OUR SITE underlined. So, naturally, to
me, it is a link. Going onto the next page... RIESIG GREAT DANES is
underlined, but not a link. EMAIL US is underlined, and IS a link... LINKS
is underlined, but not a link. In my opinion, and my opinion alone, this get's
confusing because now I am scratching my mouse all over your page trying to
figure out which underlined word(s) I can click on.

I like the background, and I like the pictures.

All the pages took awhile to download, but I believe that this is because I
had a bad connection at this particular time. I don't think load time is a
problem with your page, but maybe someone else can answer that one.

Anyway, good luck.

Netscape 4.02
28.8 connection
