SNCM Ashrama Critique Please: A non-profit site

Our site has been up for a while and is quite different, being that it has
an Indian philosophical content and highlights our ashrama in South India.
A real paradise by the way. We have kept it somewhat simple in order to
concentrate more on the content than the form. Perhaps the navigation in
some sections is confusing with it's nested pages.

A friend redid a few of the pages in the section

and he also redid the unabridged section linked from this page, to make
them load faster and in the process resaved the jpegs as progressive Jpegs.
Will this limit others ability to view the images? They looked more blurry
to me, so may change them back.  The photo tour is just that, so figured
that those wanting to see a photo tour would want clean graphics so tried
to balance this against faster loading graphics.

Would appreciate a critique.  Thank you.
