Critique wanted http://jack.dk/

This is a brother/sister/web design site. I'm responsible for my own
personal pages and the web design section. Please comment on the general
look and feel of the site, with the following notes:

1) Personal pages: Biodegradation and Mac/Frontier pages more or less
complete, the rest is in the works. These pages were started 5 months ago,
but I keep trying to "refine" them (navigation etc.). Is the (simple) part
of the Frontier tutorial comprehensible (it's intended for users with prior
knowledge of HTML and the use of BBEdit as an editor, but completely new to
Frontier)?

2) Web design: 2 days old, _no_ content yet. I'm planning on offering web
design for smaller noncommercial organizations (e.g. local sports clubs
etc.) and individuals. Not trying to go commercial here, just as a hobby. I
like to do clean, simplistic code, "best viewed in any browser", and I want
my site to show this. Am I on the wrong track? The pages shouldn't contain
(when finished) more than about 2/3 of the present dummy text. Will I still
need a flat nav-table at the bottom of each page?

<offtopic ?>

In Opera (W95) the bottom (credits) table looks weird. This is what I wanted:
__________________________
|__W3C__|------------|    |
|       |    TEXT    |    |
|_BBEDIT|____________|_HWG|

with the three logos placed at the bottom of their cells. Looks fine in IE/NN.

In Opera, however, the two logos to the left appears to be _top_ aligned?
Doesn't Opera like <td rowspan=X>, or what am I doing wrong here?

</offtopic ?>

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Michael
