How does the Guild officially "acknowledge" a "real issue"?
What is your opinion of how the Guild should function? Should
the Guild have/hold "official positions" regarding things that
are not done via a Board vote? If so, who decides what the
Guild's position is? Me, as President?

Question: Do you know what NetDay is? Have you read the page
on the Guild's site, and do you know what level of involvement
the Guild has with the whole NetDay project?

How? Talking to them in person? Printing up brochures? Telling
them "just don't let your kid log on the net; this is for adults,
not a substitute babysitter"?

Lovely.

Dude, this is mild. If the discussions on hwg-elections are
frustrating you already, you might never be able to survive as
a GB member. Read -ops in the last year or two?
