Cute narrative on the "joining the HWG" ;)

I suppose it probably is shadowed by all of the great "services" the Guild
provides. The Guild generally gives members the tools, e.g., listserves, to
educate themselves. In doing so, the tool may seem like the service more
than the education received from using the tool.

Unfortunately, I am not good at slogan writing. I hope that doesn't knock
me out of the contention for GB ;)

Seriously, I wouldn't mind seeing a little more emphasis on the education.
You've suggested an interesting way of getting the message out. Maybe we
could also do more direct educational services too, like on-line courses.

BTW, there are grants (free $$) that we are eligible to apply for (as we
are an educational, tax-exempt organization). We might consider that as a
possible source for funding these on-line courses. I've also suggested, in
previous posts, some other ways we could consider implementing on-line
classes with the resources we have. If you like, I can copy those ideas to
you again.
