Hi,

On the subject of web design becoming an easy task I would like to comment.

As lots of people have said, good design does not come with software, it has
to be there in the person's making.

However, the worry is - to use another branch of design as an example - that
people often employ an interior designer for their place of abode. Of
course all the equipment and materials are available to the Do it Yourself
person. There are some of course who are excellent at design without it
being their occupation. There are even more who "think" that their work is
of good design, even though to the trained eye it would be a disaster.

Is this not going to be the problem with web design, have we not got
potentially millions of people out there who would never know what good
design is and so carry on regardless. Of course the big companies will
always employ a professional - it's the small ones that may become their own
"experts".

Julia (McClelland)
