"My question is: Is this font or a similar one in wide
enough use that I can put it on my page and expect most
users to have it show up? I have and idea of the more
common fonts, but wasn't sure about this one (if you can't
get it to show up, my title .gif is in made in this font.)
Any suggestions? Thanks for the help,"

Colin - no its not widely used, and there are few
similar fonts that are. If you want to simulate it on other
machines I'd recommend typing the whole thing in capitals
and setting the actual capitals one step higher (size 2 text
with size 3 caps for example - or 80-90% the point size on
the small letters). Then simply do the old <FONT
FACE="Copperplate Gothic, Helvetica, Arial, Sans Serif"> and
it should look *OK*. Of course you could license it for use
with one of the font embedding programs or simply make gifs
of all your typing. As a quick rule of thumb, unless a
typeface is bundled with the OS on a computer you can't
assume even a majority of people have it or have it with the
same name (for example, you could do a call for Gill Sans
but I wouldn't see it because I have Bitstream's version;
Humanist 521).

PS: I think Copperplate Gothic is from ATF Type Corp. If
you intend to embed it I'd ask first, its polite.
