Monitor Gamma

Hello Group!

Here's a question I'm sure has been asked, but I can't find it in my
archives (since March) or the HWG archives...

Does anyone have or know of a location for a graphic that can be used to set
a monitor (PC) to an acceptable gamma/color-correction value? I need to scan
and produce a bunch of images (collector's images -- large scale, high-res)
for display on PCs and Macs (and other platforms). I know that PC monitors
are typically darker than Mac monitors, so I'd like to find an acceptable
"middle ground" that will display these images acceptably on both platforms.
