When I first started to use the computer for graphics I was VERY skeptical
that a machine could ever come close to the detail I do. That was 12 years
ago. I started out with Paintbrush and a point mouse. Having not seen one in
a long time, they may be out of vogue now. It is like a pen with a ball at
the end, a long skinny mouse. I can see that it is true, had I not used that
first I would not have even thought the detail possible. It is still
cumbersome in it's own way but not as bulky as the mouse. If you can still
find one they were like 6.00, get it and try that for a bit then decide if
you want to try out the pad. I love the pad. It has proven to me that there
is a god and that person is an artist!

Sincerely,
Ches

Subject: Graphics tablets: Yes or No?

:Hi, everyone.
:
:I just joined this list, and if this question is not appropriate for this
:list, I apologize. I have been grappling with the idea whether to purchase
:a graphics tablet to make drawing graphics easier. I've tried all along
:with using just my mouse, but I wonder what other people's thoughts are on
:graphics tablets? Do you find that it significantly improves your drawing
:performance? The reason I'm asking is that I don't want to spend $500 on
:something that I might be able to do without.
:
:Thanks in advance.
