We use PSP5 with Eye Candy and Xenofex as plug-ins. Can't praise the set up
enough for the excellent job they each do.

I'd say try a "cut-out" filter for what you want. In combination with the
proper font it could look as though you made the lettering into the actual
sand itself standing on the beach. :o)

PSP5 and Eye Candy both have excellent cutout filters.
