Hi,

I don't know what you are starting with when creating your images, however:

If you are using clipart that has a white halo around the image, then the
only thing you can do is edit the halo pixel by pixel.

If you are starting from an aliased graphic, using antialiased is fine, so
long as you set the background colour to be as close as possible to the
intended background. The edges should blend into the background without
being noticable once the graphic is made transparent to the background
colour.

Hope this helps,

Heather
