DO NOT SEND THEM.

Let the client know that you do not create any art without a contract, it is
not standard business practice to provide art in this manner.

Without meaning to he may not know this. This is a very common scam out
there to get something for free, esp. art. If they are close by, you should
go there in person and show them your sketches. No file exchange should take
place. Do not leave the samples behind. You need to be paid for the samples
if you mock them up.
