Not silly :-). Mozilla is like the "testing ground" for the next NS browser.
It has been made "open source" so anyone can get involved in its
construction and testing. Once it is completed it was going to become
Netscape 5 but AOL have decided that they are going to skip 5 and make it NS
6.
