In Photoshop the easiest way to save an image as a jpg is to click on file
then
choose "save as a copy". This option will give you all the saving options
except for "gif".
To save a file as a gif file choose file then export. The reason why you
only have psd as an
option in your dialogue box is beacause the file was changed to a psd file
from a gif file.

Hope this helps,

Dave

Subject: format to jpg?

Don't know what I'm doing wrong -- have created a one-layer photoshop
image, no added layers, can't select "flatten image" and simply want to
save to jpg and there is no option for it in my save as dialog box!! I
have RGB mode; I have saved before this way! The image did start as a gif
but I changed it to psd so I could use layers. Is this why??
