"Somebody wrote in the other day asking if there was such a thing as a
browser emulator. This mythical program could simulate what a Web page
would look like in various browsers, saving you the trouble of keeping
old versions around and requiring access to different operating systems.
Well, after a little searching, I stumbled upon something called
Browserola, which can be found here:

-> http://www.bizdomain.com/browserola/

It calls itself the "first and only browser emulator" and does seem to
have the skills that pay the bills. It can simulate a number of versions
of IE and Netscape, although it only goes up to 4.0. Its most useful
feature is the little toolbar it sticks at the bottom of your browser
(yes, you can simulate IE on Netscape and vice versa), letting you
quickly switch back and forth between different versions. It's not
perfect (for one thing, it's a Windows-only application - bah!), but it
can give you a general idea of the always-entertaining variations
among the browsers."
