PSP versions

Greetings!

I have 2 questions about Paint Shop Pro and couldn't find any answers at the 
JASC site........

1) If I get version 4.0, I know there are patches to upgrade it to        
4.12 (or the latest 4.x version). Can it be further upgraded to 5.x and/or 
6.x?

2) Exactly what comes in the package? What would I not be getting   if I were 
to just get the CD (version 5.0)?

I'm looking at alternative ways to get my own copy. OK. So I'm looking at 
Ebay. I don't have much $ to spend at this point in my operation; just 
looking for a jump start. Anywho, thanks for any input!
