Hi gang, yeah I know - I can't keep my big mouth shut, so here's my $0.02
on this matter :)

640 x 480 is by many thought to be the standard browser resolution, simply
because it is the lowest screen resolution available. It's no problem
scaling your screen resolution down, it could be a problem scaling it up.

My current screen res is 1280 x 1024, but even so I rarely have my browser
window in fullscreen (I see a lot of badly tiled backgrounds in this res!).

When designing your pages, it's ok to design it so that it looks BETTER in
800 x 600 and up, but keep in mind that there are still people out there
with 640 x 480, especially librarys, schools and other public internet
accesed places, so don't put in a <TABLE WIDTH="775"> but either keep it
dynamic (using percentage), or keep it at 615. =) And still - that's a lot
of room to show off your graphic/design skills, no? :)

Best sites imho, are those that are fully scaleable - while keeping in mind
that 130 characters on ONE single line, doesn't look good.
