scratch disks

quick q for ya tech's out their..

(if i had 3 seperate drives)
does anyone know how to specify the drive
that i want to make as a scratch disk
for ANY program.

do i have to go into the cmos setups?
i know progs like adobe u can just
goto the file and prefs...etc.
but what about other progs?

anywho thanx

(the one prog im really want to know how to do
the scratch thing for is bryce3d if anyone knows 
how...)
