I don't think there is a bullet proof way to protect images on the web.
When you post your full-size images, aside from watermark, whatever
scheme you use for protection, the viewer can always do a screen
capture. I would recommend reducing the images and save as GIF format.
Or just simply put semi-transparent text such as "SAMPLE" across the
image.
