BMPs are among the low end of graphics -- only really good for
Powerpoint and word docs --- especially for cheesy clip art. BMPs are
meant for low-res graphics-- I know there are many out there that use
them for camera-ready art -- but I wouldnt recommend it.

Focus on EPS for high res images and (most studios and service bureaus
Ive worked for and with insist on them for anything outside Microsoft
or Corel/Wordperfect Generated Word Processing or presentation type
documents).

Id suggest a good graphics course (or a book even) that goes in detail
about the different graphics formats and what they are specifically
used for. I can put something together for the list if needed ROFL--

You dont have to take a "loss" in image quality if you have a great
image editor like Photoshop and Debabelizer and the understanding of
how to work with differing types of graphics files and how to achieve
images that arent huge but look great. It can be done.

Good Luck

Lisa
