Heather -- Thanks for the response : o )

I can see the value of the layout principle --- but to me it just seems
more practical to create the images that you are using individually and
work with them in a page layout program if ideally what we want to do
is present the client with a web-based mechanical (in the same way
graphic desginers present comps or mechanicals to clients). Sooner or
later one would have to use HTML and whatever scripts are needed to
make the thing function. I guess my main concern is it seems to add a
lot more time and labor to a job to rely on Photoshop as a layour tool.
But like anything I guess if it works for you and works well -- then
its not as time-consuming as one might think.

I dont claim to be a Photoshop Whiz --- Im reacting to what I am
hearing at this site and asking if anyone has ever heard of people
using Photoshop like this.

A lot of people are in some form or another it seems.

I havent seen the entire file I was in a tizzy about -- as I said
orginally -- I was sitting here in the office being ignored listening
to these people argue. But from what I understand his concept would be
using image maps to hyperlink (although he doesnt fully understand the
concept) and they are all in this one file as are all the other images
and pages hes working with ----
someone mentioned copying and pasting in a private post
--- but we wont go there ------

As I said before -- My background traditionally is Graphic Design,
Advertising, Marketing and Strategy -- Im taking pains get the
understanding of the correct processes since I want to dedicate myself
to this business.

As someone said in the "careers" thread --- Lots of people "think" that
what they are doing is right --- But there is a huge difference between
what one "thinks" is right and what IS right.
