Well Frontpage and Dreamweaver are ranked as the best
building web sites, but for very different reasons. I
believe that PC magazine had an issue recently devoted
to the subject of building web sites where they
contrasted the features of both programs. Personally,
my preferece would be the Dreamweaver Studio package
for site building and ColdFusion for web application
development.

Cold Fusion is for NT and Unix Operating systems
(possibly Linux but dont quote me on that).It really
is for web application development.If you want to
develop web-based applications then its a must ----
its the tool of choice in that area but there is a
very Steep learning curve. Its also very expensive
once you look at anything other that the basic package
which is about $400. The other versions of it are over
$1,000. Allaire, the company that developed Cold
Fusion also have Homesite -- which is also a decent
web building application. Go to

Id also look for that PC Magazine issue -- it was
filled with all the latest technologies and services
for web development and is a great resource tool.

However, be aware that these programs add redundant
code, so you will have to be reasonably comfortable
with HTML et. al. and testing to fix that.
