You're absolutely right - at the end of the day the
audience is the key factor and while everyone likes
nice graphics to some extent there are scenarios where
they are needed a damn sight more than others.

But....that doesn't mean that a site should look crap
just because it has to be fast - you can do a lot
within 10k
